Story :

This story revolves around the character suhani(priyamani) her struggles in life with a different narration(boring stuff). The first 15 minutes just shows about priyamani's character which includes a song that explains about problems a gal would face in present day society. Then she saves bharani from an accident and in return of saving his life bharani gives her a bumper offer of killing one person by morning. She then goes on hunt of whom to kill . The story then goes back to flashback and the rest is about whom she kills and what the final ending would be. I can't write much about the story here since the so called suspense part would be missed if you see the movie.:-)

Analysis:

Now comes the main part and let me give the rating accordingly.

1. Direction and screenplay : 2/5

Director has selected a rather weak script to debut with and its rather a disappointing stuff from him. He succeeded in getting the hot pair of tollywood priyamani and jagapathi to act in this movie but that ends then and there itself. rest all is a major disappointment. The above 2 rating is given considering that this is his first movie and attempted a different kind of movie(though not succeeded)

2.Story : 2/5

As said above there is not much in the story part . Its just any other normal movie which comes and goes without many ppl actually knowing this. Many other movies came with the same genre

and so you would not feel anything spl or good abt this story.

3.Music and Lyrics : 2.5/5

Music is just ordinary except for the first song. Lyrics are good comparatively especially in the first song which tells about the problems of gals and the last song which happens to be mass masala item number.

4.Comedy/Sentiment : 2/5

Comedy is really way too less in this flick. Sattanna, Jagapathi tried a bit but could not at all succeed. As far as sentiment part, director tried to make audience sympathise with the character of priyamani but the sequences taken involved them are not pictured well.

5.Choreography/Action(stunts) : 3/5

Except for the song that has priyamani n keerthi chawla which comes as part of flashback and the item song, no other song has dances in it. Same applies for stunts too . Only one fight and the rest are just jaggu displaying his heroism in front of priyamani. Considering the item song too, i rate this 3.

6.Cinematography : 2/5

Not much on this front. Songs are well picturized though nothing special. Most of the frames are in dark background but the video is clear enough for the audience to understand what's happening.

7. Dialogues: 2/5

No specific catchy dialogues and everything just goes normally. so,nothing to write about

8. Lead Roles : 3/5

Its a heroine oriented film and thats evident with the screen presence of priyamani where whe's there for almost the whole movie. Jaggu is just like a guest character and his acting is normal as his usual stuff. Keerthi chawla is just there to add a negative shade character to the film as a friend of heroine in flashback. But its priyamani the main lead of film. She tried her best in this movie and her fans would definitely go to movie just for her , reasons best known..:-)

9.Romance : 3/5

No romance is there in this movie but a song between the lead characters is well enough for priyamani fans to go to the movie. Hence, the rating...

Adding all the above , my final rating would be ~2.25. Except for priyamani, there's nothing else if you look at the whole movie.

Yem Maaya Chesaave...The Review

I went to this movie on the first day itself without actually knowing the talk and with no expectations. Just finished my work by EOD and rushed to the theatre with my colleagues to a theatre(not a multiplex) here in bangalore. Though this post is coming after a week of release, this are my views straight after watching the film and not influenced by reviews in sites. Please forgive me if i had written anything wrong in it for this is my first time writting a review of a movie..Now, let me get into the actual thing...

Story:

Not much to tell about the story. Just a classic Love Story between Karthik, an engineering graduate(aspiring director who joins as assistant to Puri) and a Christian gal Jesse who is 2 years elder than him. The whole story revolves around these 2 characters and their love part which succeeds at the end which shud be expected in any telugu love story.

Analysis:

As my blog suggests this kind of review will be a bit different from other reviews where normal analysis at high level is given and an overall rating is given. I tried to bring in 9 main aspects in film making for which common audience love to go to or for that matter repeated audience. So, here i start mine......

1. Direction and screenplay : 3/5

Director should receive total credit for the movie no matter how it goes. The way he designed is too gud. Flow of the movie is gud (though expected) and the way he connects each scene wit other is well threaded. But on a flip side, i found the movie a bit dragging..First half itself is like a movie and even my colleague who accompanied me felt the same(I gues smany others also felt like it). On my part director would not receive more than 3.

2.Story : 2/5

As said above there is not much in the story part . Its just a love story. So, would not rate more than 2

3.Music and Lyrics : 3/5

Music by AR Rahman is good though much more is expected from him. His background score is excellent. As part of lyrics, i could not understand much of it though whatever i heard is fine. Hence, i'm not including the lyrics part here. The above rating is only for Music which is 3

4.Comedy/Sentiment : 2/5

If people expect for some good laugh riot, they are mistaken as the movie's comedy content is way too less except for some parts where Krishnudu(he played himself) tried to bring in some laughs. Sent iment is not found much in this movie as this is just a feel good movie and would not make you cry or feel for some character at any point of time. Hence, would not rate more than 2

5.Choreography : 3/5

No special things to tell about choreography here. As i myself is a dance lover, naga chaitanya needs to improve a lot in terms of his dancing skills. I'm sure audience would not remember his dances anyways after seeing the movie.

6.Cinematography : 4.5/5

This is the life of movie..Screenplay comes only after this. The cameraman Manoj Paramahamsa has done an excellent work. the way heroine is projected or the locales in the songs are marvellous.Hence, 4.5

7. Dialogues: 3/5

There aren't many punch dialogues in this movie except for a few. Naga chaitanya's diction also disappoints to some extent. But the dubbing for heroine is aweaome. This is the same voice dubbed for sameera reddy in Surya s/o Krishnan

8. Lead Roles : 4/5

Its Jesse all the show. Samantha aptly fitted the character and there is no exaggeration saying that she dominated naga chaitanya even. Cameraman also receives special accolades for showing her beautifully. Her acting skills are also good thought its her debut movie. Naga chaitanya still needs to improve and the above rating of 4 is mainly because of Jesse..

9.Romance : 4/5

Its a pure romantic movie and you can see that all throughout the movie. Hence, 4

Adding all the above , my final rating would be ~3.25. Also, for those who are in love and go with their couples, they may be lost in the movie and would love it immensely. But if everything is taken into account, 3.25 is the best suited according to me...
